Cameras: the city, seen and connected.
We design, install and hand over in working order a municipality's complete camera project: fixed cameras on streets, roundabouts and gantries; mounted on cars, motorcycles and portable cases; bodycams; drones; and the control room from which everything is seen. Every camera arrives registered in its Labrax software and connected to the DGT and to police management.
All of a municipality's cameras,
with their software.
From the LEZ gantry to the camera the officer wears on their chest. Each family of cameras is installed with the Labrax product that controls it, and they all end up in the same control room.
Mobility and traffic
Fixed cameras on streets, roundabouts and access roads that measure and monitor traffic using computer vision.
- Counting and classification of vehicles and people.
- Banned turns, wrong-way driving, bus lanes and double parking.
- Search by partial number plate, make, model and colour.
Low emission zones
Number plate reading at LEZ gantries and entrances, checked against the environmental badge and the lists of authorised vehicles.
- DGT checks via the SARA network: roadworthiness test (ITV), insurance, deregistration and theft.
- Access statistics by environmental label.
- Unauthorised access is passed to police management for a case file; the decision to penalise remains with the City Council.
Access control
Historic centre, pedestrian streets, residents' zones and municipal premises, open only to those with permission.
- Barriers, bollards and rising posts that open for whitelisted number plates.
- Lists by group (residents, loading and unloading, services), updated in under a second.
- Temporary permits that residents arrange themselves from the app.
Mounted on the patrol car
Number plate reading while the patrol is on the move, with no civil works or fixed installation.
- Up to 4 IP67 cameras with the Carmen® engine, for 2 or 3 lanes and with infrared.
- Up to 10,000 readings per hour and vehicles at up to 300 km/h.
- Alerts the officer to stolen vehicles, expired roadworthiness tests (ITV), uninsured vehicles and wanted vehicles.
Portable ANPR case
The number plate reader in a case, for one-off checks: it is set up in minutes at any location and removed when finished.
- The same DGT checks and the same alerts as in the car.
- Ideal for checks at access points, events and roads without fixed cameras.
Motorcycle kit
Number plate reading mounted on the motorcycle, for patrolling narrow town centres and rural areas the car cannot reach.
- Alerts on the officer's screen while on the move.
- Every reading with photo, GPS and time, just as in the car.
Bodycam and dash cam
The officer's camera and the dashboard camera, live in the control room.
- Live streaming over 4G/LTE and GPS.
- SOS button that keeps the previous 60 seconds.
- Push-to-Talk with the control room.
Drones
Live aerial view for events, emergencies and searches, with the fleet and its paperwork in order.
- Drone video in the control room.
- Management of the fleet, pilots and operations in accordance with SORA and Royal Decree 517/2024.
Urban video surveillance
Fixed cameras and domes in squares, buildings and public spaces, plus those the municipality already has, in a single viewer.
- Any ONVIF or RTSP camera, with dome control (PTZ).
- Detection of crowds, vandalism and hotspots with thermal cameras.
- Edge inference and anonymisation of people by default.
Everything the cameras see,
in a single room.
Fixed cameras, vehicle-mounted cameras, bodycams and drones all reach the same screen. The operator sees the city on the map, receives alerts and acts from the same workstation.
- Video wall and multi-view: the city's cameras, the patrols' and the drones', live.
- Live map: every camera, every checkpoint and every patrol in its place.
- Instant alerts: wanted number plate, unauthorised LEZ access, capacity exceeded or an officer's SOS.
- Forensic search: by full or partial number plate, make, model, colour, camera and time band.
- Evidence with probative value: photo, GPS, synchronised time and signed SHA-256 fingerprint, with chain of custody.
- Connected to police management: whatever a camera detects opens the case file in Appolo.
From the plan to the camera
in service.
A single point of contact for the whole project: the study, the legal side, installation and maintenance. Available to purchase, rent or on loan.
Checkpoints
Where each camera goes: fixed points (poles, roundabouts, streets and gantries) and mobile ones (cars, motorcycles, cases and drones), with their barriers, bollards and communications.
Compliant from day one
Information signs, impact assessment and record of processing, in accordance with the GDPR, Article 22 of the LOPDGDD and Organic Law 4/1997 on video cameras.
Fitted and registered
We install the cameras and leave them registered in their software, connected to the DGT, to police management and to the control room.
Up and running, and measured
Maintenance, support and monitoring of every camera: in service, with an incident or pending review.
Privacy by design: readings are stored with their retention period and deleted when it expires, video analysis anonymises people by default and every query is logged. The data never leave the European Union.
What a
City Council uses them for.
Gantries with number plate reading at every entrance, checking against the environmental badge and the authorised list, and statistics by label to measure the LEZ's effect. Unauthorised access reaches the Local Police with its evidence.
Barriers or bollards that open automatically for residents, loading and unloading and services, and temporary permits for house moves or building work that residents request from their phones. Existing traffic cameras are put to use.
The car, motorcycle or case reads number plates while patrolling or at a checkpoint: stolen vehicles, uninsured vehicles, those with an expired roadworthiness test (ITV) or wanted vehicles, flagged instantly on the officer's screen.
Crowd levels measured in squares and at entrances, a drone with a live aerial view, officers' bodycams in the control room and road closures monitored with number plate reading.
Number plate reading cameras at entrances and exits, with information signs, connected to police management to investigate thefts and locate vehicles of interest.
A drone with a thermal camera for fires and search and rescue, with its video in the control room alongside that of the fixed cameras and patrols.
What sits
behind every camera.
What we're asked
before getting started.
Are civil works needed?
For vehicle-mounted cameras, the case and the motorcycle kit, no: they are installed in the vehicle or set up at the checkpoint. Fixed cameras go on poles, lamp posts, gantries or façades, and in each project we study the mounting, power supply and communications for each point.
Can the City Council's existing cameras be used?
Yes, if they support ONVIF or RTSP: they are integrated into the same viewer and computer vision video analysis can be added without replacing them. We work with Dahua, Hikvision, Axis and Bosch, and with video management systems such as Genetec and Milestone.
Is it legal to read number plates on the public highway?
Yes, with a legal basis and safeguards: information signs, record of processing, impact assessment and retention periods, in accordance with the GDPR, the LOPDGDD and Organic Law 4/1997 on video cameras. We prepare this as part of the project.
Who decides on the penalty?
Always the City Council. The camera provides the evidence and the system prepares the case file in police management, but the decision to penalise lies with the person responsible.
Can we start with just one part?
Yes. It is common to start with one patrol with a vehicle-mounted reader or with the entrances to one zone, and grow afterwards. All the cameras end up in the same control room, whatever the order.
